Keep in mind that we are all individuals and the way we stand, the shape of our feet, and the way we land on the floor all have an impact on what shoe will work best for each of us. The key rule is to find a comfortable running shoe. A running shoe gives far more support on wooden flooring with the impact cardio we do than the cross trainer alternative.
Some of the trainer shoe brands we love are Asics and Hoka (which have a great cushion), Brooks, and Nike. Feel free to give these brands a try and see what works for you.
